David Gordon has been trying to get sober for the last 15 years. In February of this year, at the age of 43, a near fatal overdose shook him to his core and forced him to take a look at the things he’s been running from his entire adult life.
Since his mother’s death when he was 15 years old, an overwhelming sense of guilt and a desire to make himself worthy in his mother’s eyes have colored David’s perceptions and steered many of his important decisions.
